all OCCC swimmers. 8 and under are encouraged to participate.)
Nov. 21-22 Thanksgiving Celebration GCIT (JW)
(This meet is for
all OCCC swimmers 9 and over. It is an A/BB/C.)
Dec. 19-20 NJ STATE MEET GCIT - hosted by
(It is an A/BB/C meet with mini meet and open
to all swimmers in the state of NJ. We
encourage everyone to attend.)
Jan. 10 Winter Carnival-mini OCCC
(This is our only fundraising meet. It is mandatory for all OCCC swimmers 12 years old and under to attend. Parents and older swimmers participation is required. It takes approximately 50 people to run EACH SESSION of every meet we host. The presence and participation of EACH ONE of these 50 people is ALL THAT ASSURES CONTINUANCE OF SUCCESSFUL RESULTS. Therefore, because each child benefits from the revenue generated at these swim meets and the experience that meets provide, each family must share in the work.)
Jan. 22-24 Elite Meet TBA
(This meet is a
qualifying meet. It is for all kids 9
and up who have made a standard. Time
standards will be posted on the website and at the pool. An email will also come out in December to
show you what your child has qualified for.
Please assume your child will be signed up for whatever they qualify in. Please contact Mark if you know your child
has made a time and they cannot attend.
Decisions will be made in December once we see what they qualify in.)
Feb. 20-21 Neptunes Challenge
(This meet is held
at
Feb. 27-28 Last Chance GCIT (JW)
(This meet is for
all OCCC swimmers 9 and over. It is an A/BB/C meet and is hosted by Jersey
Wahoos. This is a last chance meet for any swimmer trying to qualify for JO's.)
March 11-14 JO’s TBA
(This is a
qualifying meet and your child will be entered in whatever event(s) they
make. Time standards will be on the
website and at the pool. An email in
January will come out showing your child what they have qualified for. If your child has made a time and cannot make
it, please contact Coach Mark at that time.)
March 20-21 Mini-Champs GCIT
(This is the
championship meet for all 8 and under swimmers.
You are strongly encouraged to attend as it is a great chance to improve
on your times and pick up some great awards.)
March 26-28 Senior Champs TBA
(This meet is for
all senior level swimmers who do not have sectional times but meet the senior
champ time standards. It is encouraged
for all senior level swimmers who intend to swim in college to get shaved times
in the distance events, 400im and 200’s of strokes.)
(This meet is for
all swimmers who meet the qualifying times.
Coach Mark will be emailing out who should be attending later in the
swim season. Just put it on the calendar
if you are a National/Senior or Pre-National swimmer.)
